Kikkoman is the world’s largest producer of naturally-brewed soy sauce doing business in more than 100 countries. Their U.S. production headquarters is located in Walworth, WI and that plant was Kikkoman's first U.S. base for the manufacture of soy sauce and made its first shipment in 1973. Since then, it has grown into one of the world's largest plants for naturally-brewed soy sauce. In addition to their flagship brand, Kikkoman produces a low-sodium soy sauce, Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce and a wide array of other sauces all containing Kikkoman Naturally-Brewed Soy Sauce.
Kikkoman, came to W.M. Sprinkman for help in reducing the cost associated with improperly filled and rejected bottles and packets of soy sauce. To improve the production efficiencies at Kikkoman, the Sprinkman team developed a system consisting of a series of 3,000 gallon stainless steel tanks and process piping to recapture this product and allow it to be checked for quality. If certified, the soy sauce could then be successfully reintroduced into the packaging line, turning what was once lost dollars into profits for the company!
At Kikkoman, the company spirit is expressed in the phrase “Sangyo Damashii,” meaning that they always endeavor to enrich the daily lives of people everywhere by adding to the joys and benefits of good eating. Although not as eloquent as Kikkoman, Sprinkman’s message to our customers is simply “we help you make your processing better”. However, in the end both companies are focused on improving our customers experience!
