Capital Brewing
Capital Brewery located in Middleton, WI, which is near the state capital city of Madison. They brewed their first batch of beer, a pilsner, in the spring of 1986 and was founded to brew traditional German style lager beer in America. It has branched out to include American style ales, barrel aged beers, and several distinct IPA’s.
Capital is committed to sustainability and building community. They installed solar electric panels in 2014. Spent grain is provided to feed cattle raised by an area farmer. The Capital Brewery Bike Club was formed in 2009 and now over 100 riders meet regularly at the Brewery every Tuesday and Thursday when the weather is pleasant. “Any business that benefits from the citizens of that surrounding community as well as receives the support of the other businesses and city associations around them should always be grateful,” said Ashley Kinart, the Brewmaster.
In the Summer of 2018, Capital will receive a 7-BBL/2-Vessel Sprinkman Pub & Pilot System! The system will play a key role in allowing Ashley to push her brewing creativity, like she did with her Fishin’ in the Dark, which was an overnight sensation, soon followed by Schwarz in a Box, King George and Grateful, a Red IPA. This will be the second Sprinkman system of this kind that has been developed to fit the needs of brewers looking for either a small-batch pilot system, those looking to make a local presence as a small production brewery or both!
